Teaching Learning Methodology
Teaching and learning styles are, by their very nature, changing and in recent years there has been a noticeable move from lecture-based activities towards more student-centeredactivities.
The teaching learning process is enriched with the use of traditional teaching aids like Chalk board teaching for the purpose of very primary figures and mathematical calculations etc.
The department is furnished with one model class room with facilities available to use Overhead Projector (OHP) and LCD for the detailed studies of difficult part or for presentations of various live mechanisms, working models etc.
The curriculum is structured around all the experiences that are panned as part of learningand teaching.
The students are taught the methodology, problems solving, use of computer invarious directions and its social context of various subjects and fields of curriculum.Instead of conventional teaching pattern the students are taught with case studies.
The case studies are an increasingly popular form of teaching and have an important role indeveloping skills and knowledge in students.
The faculties explore the use of the case-based approach to support studies and, morespecifically, their role in education.
For all those subjects/topics where the in house facilities proved to be insufficient thestudents are inspired for industrial visits for the performances as well as for thedemonstrations of various practical.
For the enhancement of faculty knowledge pedagogy activities are arranged once in asemester regarding the fields of interest of faculties.
